Training in your home
Equipment, space, coaching and what an in-home session involves.
Explore in-home personal training โYour first session
A practical guide to your first in-home personal training session with Maree: what to prepare, what to ask and what happens next.
Your discovery call is the place to talk through your goals, current activity, suburb and available session times. Before starting training, Maree needs to understand your training history and any relevant considerations for screening.
Have questions about an injury or health condition? Raise them before the session. Maree can explain the coaching scope and whether advice or clearance from your health professional is needed. You do not need to put private medical details into an Instagram message.
The first session is an opportunity to establish your starting point and become familiar with being coached. It is not a test you need to train for in advance.
Maree learns about your space and how you move, explains the exercises and adjusts the session to what is appropriate. You can ask for an explanation, say if something is uncomfortable and discuss options throughout.
Your home does not need to look like a fitness studio. The useful question is whether the space can support the planned training safely and practically.
By the end of the visit, make sure you understand the focus of the program, what to do between appointments and how to raise questions. Your next session and any practical changes can be discussed with Maree.
Ongoing coaching includes accountability and adjustments as your routine develops. Progress does not need to look identical every week; what happens in real life helps guide the next step.

Start with a relaxed 20-minute conversation. Talk through your goals, your suburb and the session times that could work for you.
