Personalised strength and mobility coaching at home, with clear instruction and a starting point that makes sense for you.
Strength and mobility work are part of Maree’s personalised in-home coaching. The aim is to build your ability and confidence with movements that matter to you, using a program that develops over time.
You might want to feel more capable carrying everyday loads, improve your confidence with weights or become more comfortable moving through a training session. Your goals help guide the choice of exercises and the starting point.
This is one-on-one personal training. It is not a group class, a standard workout download or a rehabilitation service.
Maree explains and demonstrates the exercise, then coaches you through an appropriate version. The starting point depends on your training history, screening and available equipment.
Having your trainer beside you means questions can be answered as they come up. Technique, range of movement and effort can be adjusted within the session.
Progress may involve a different exercise variation, more resistance, more controlled movement or a change in the amount of work. The next step should fit your ability and the purpose of the program.
A plan should work with your space and schedule. In-home coaching makes it possible to practise in the environment you will also use between appointments.
There is no single exercise list that suits everyone. Someone new to training may need time to learn basic movement patterns, while an experienced client may need a more structured progression with the equipment already in her home.
Mobility work is selected to support the movements and positions relevant to your training. Maree can adapt exercise choices and discuss when another professional’s assessment is appropriate.
If you have pain, an injury or a medical condition, mention it before training. Personal training does not replace advice or treatment from your clinician. New or unexplained symptoms need appropriate assessment rather than being pushed through.
You do not need to build a gym before getting started. Maree works with your available space and equipment, bringing additional equipment where needed. A conversation about your setup helps determine what is practical.
The in-home training page explains how a visit works. The first-session guide covers what to prepare.
Sessions are available in the published Lower Hunter service area, subject to travel and scheduling. Training options and prices are on the packages page.
